Adapt Design+Build preformed an energy audit on this home in June of 2010.  Our clients were interested in improving the comfort of their basement and lowering their energy bills/usage.  Working with their budget in mind we identified several leaky places that were allowing cold air to penetrate into the basement and recommended a new furnace.  After following through with the recommendations here is there gas usage chart comparing January 2010 to January 2011.  Notice that their gas usage decreased by 35%  even though the average temperature in January 2011 was 4 degrees colder.
